Located in Vanatori-Neamt village, Neamt County.
In 1602, Nestor Ureche, the famous chronicler Grigore Ureche’s father, built this monastery, whose decorations remind us about the Wallachian architectonic style (southern side of Romania).
In 1821 the monastery was set on fire by the Ottomans.
Between 1821 -1825 followed a period of restorations.
