Rasinari is a village and commune in Sibiu County, Transylvania, Romania.
Rasinari is connected to Sibiu by a roughly 4-mile tramline through the Dumbrava Forest. The tram runs every 30 mins. at peak times (7:00am – 9:00am and 1:00pm – 3:00pm) and every hour for the rest of the day.
One of the wealthiest villages in the region, Rasinari is famed for its local carpentry and sheep farming.
The village has an Ethnographic Museum and a painted Orthodox church built in 1752.
The annual Pastoral Album Folklore Festival takes place on the third Sunday of April.
It has a population of 5,645 inhabitants (census 2002).
