Arad is the most important trans-European road and rail transportation junction point in western Romania, included in the 4th Pan-European Corridor linking Western Europe to South-Eastern European and Middle Eastern countries.
The city has an extensive light rail network and a few bus lines.
Acces to Arad by car can be taken from paneuropean corridor nr.4 [E68]. Buses can be taken from Cluj Napoca, Brasov, Bucharest, Sibiu and Constanta City.
For plane access there is a small international Airport with flights to Bucharest, Verona, Milano and Valencia two times a week.
At the main train station there are services from Budapest, Praha, Warsaw, Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Venezia, Brasov, Cluj Napoca, Sibiu, Bucharest, Oradea, Timisoara, Constanta, Galati, Iasi, Baia Mare, Suceava, Craiova and Ploiesti.
